It is the only organization that brings Schools, Teachers, Continuing Education Providers, and Allied Industry Partners together under one roof. Massage Therapy Foundation
The Massage Therapy Foundation was founded by the American Massage Therapy Association in 1990 with the mission of bringing the benefits of massage therapy to the broadest spectrum of society through the generation, dissemination, and application of knowledge in this field. We do this by receiving donations and granting funds for research, community service, educational initiatives, and conferences. We also provide direct consultation to the medical and research communities, and educate massage therapists about the world of research.
Medical Fitness Network
The Medical Fitness Network (MFN) facilitates relationships between fitness & healthcare professionals, community members, business partners, and patient organizations. In the medical field, a team approach is often required to achieve ideal outcomes. A healthcare team can include many health professionals including a physician, chiropractor, dietitian, acupuncturist, and massage therapist, to name a few. The Medical Fitness Network is a compilation of well-trained fitness professionals & representatives from many fields of healthcare. This team approach, facilitated through the Medical Fitness Network, will positively impact the care of many individuals with chronic disease. Graduates of Carole’s comprehensive workshop are qualified to join as MT members. MFN also provides resources for pregnant women, whether medically complicated or normal in progression. MFN’s goal is to provide individuals the resources to locate exemplary fitness and healthcare professionals with a background in treatment and rehabilitation of various diseases, medical conditions and of pregnancy.
