The Downeast School of Massage is located on 95 acres, two miles from US Route 1 in the rural community of Waldoboro, Maine. With a scenic coastline a mere 15 minutes away providing endless natural wonders to explore, the school is located midway up the Maine coast, about 1 1/4 hours north of Portland and 25 minutes south of Camden.
The school is a custom-built three-story saltbox, overlooking a 30-acre pond; its spacious 8,000 square feet houses two large training rooms, student lounge with full kitchen, supply store, well-equipped library, sauna and treatment rooms, and all the materials necessary for teaching and proper training. The country atmosphere and plentiful wildlife provide a serene environment for learning and growth.
Autumn heralds stunning fall foliage, festivals, great food, native wildlife and beautiful scenery; if you’re going to visit for leaf peeping, October is the best time for peak fall colors along the coast.
