Comprehensive Mentoring for Mastery Continuing Education Massage Therapy

Comprehensive mentoring is perfect for most practicing MTs regardless of specialty, experience or work environment, or lack thereof. This is dynamic, in-the-moment learning at its best. Working within my subtle, flexible framework, you create the content of your time with me. Whatever YOU need help with becomes the subject matter of group discussions, input, and action plans. A particularly energizing synergy often occurs as one therapist’s questions and issues overlap another’s.

Check out these example topics that therapists have brought to recent mentoring sessions:

  • Specific techniques needing refinement and/or greater effectiveness
  • Difficult client situations
  • Fears and inadequacies with particular client populations
  • An injured or strained body part needing better body mechanics to create healing
  • Issues with colleagues sharing therapy office space
  • Encouraging client rebooking
  • Making intake quicker and more comprehensive
  • Managing client care when the client’s concerns parallel the therapist’s issues
  • Incorporating and integrating feeling states with manual therapy

Comprehensive Mentoring for Mastery and Supervision Groups earn you 18 hours of CE credit and include my guidance in these three carefully structured ways:

  • Under my leadership, your group of three to six therapists will meet (in-person or online, depending on the group) for 1.5 hours monthly.
  • Between these six monthly meetings, mentees interact as desired in discussions or email that I will also participate in periodically.
  • One hour of individual consultation with me during your 6 month program is also included in your tuition. (You also can schedule additional individual sessions at a discounted rate.)

Mentoring with Carole truly opened the door to my development, both professionally and personally. She fueled my passion for the field of massage, specifically prenatal massage, and has continued doing so intermittently for over twenty years. I went from being a single therapist working for $12 per hour to opening my own 2,000 sq. ft. Wellness Spa. Worth the cost, a thousand times over!!

My own personal experience of supervision was being a part of a very intimate circle of 4 beautiful, strong and tenacious women, with both Carole and Diana Panara supervising and mentoring us. It was a circle where we were invited to share and dialogue…personal, business, client issues, and it became a rare opportunity to be witnessed…to be seen…to listen and be listened to, all with exquisite presence and compassion. My supervision experience allowed me to explore and deepen my learning on many levels, expand and enhance technique, enhance my ability to utilize the therapeutic healing opportunities held within the relational field, and deepen my somatic practice. It continues to have a positive impact on and bless who I am as a practitioner, a teacher, a student and an experiencing being.

I had the privilege to mentor with Carole at the beginning of my career as a holistic therapist over fifteen years ago. Her incredible humanity as well as mastery to teach the art of bodywork and somatic awareness has remained the core foundation of my practice. As a matter of fact, I still review my notes from that mentoring period and remember the unfolding process and growth that took place for me under her supervision.

The fruit of the work I experienced with Carole gave me a level of awareness that created the beginning of way to be in the world that has continued to expand ever since. It was a true turning point in my development. The foundations were so solid and well structured that I have been able to grow ‘up’ ever since. This mentorship was instrumental in my success as a human being and therapist. Carole is one of my master teachers that I take with me in every session. With deep gratitude and tremendous respect.
